Both are carved ivory figures, each originally part of a tobacco smoking ensemble. First depicts the bearded and horned, three toed, three fingered oni (demonic deity) holding sake bottle and cup and having crazed grin with bulging eyed stare. Signed on the underside.
Other is a woman kneeling over a square box, bare breasted and with genitals showing on the underside. Her mouth open in a scream gesture while a rat scampers across her back.”
