In the 1970s the gourmet revolution hit Berkeley. Patty and I would go to a new restaurant about once a week. Many weeks I would go to Chez Panisse on Monday to look at that week’s menu.
For special occasions we also went to Narsai’s in Kensington.
After concerts and plays Patty and I would go to Alexis on Nob Hill
Returning from Washington we went to Masa’s several times
Judith and I began going to high end restaurants in 1994 starting with Vivarois in Paris
and L’Esplanade in Domme during our walking tour
