Southeast Asia, Borneo, Sarawak, Kayan people. Three small carved figures from pig traps, a seated figure and two standing guardians, with weathered surfaces.

Figures were set beside spring traps to ‘watch’ them in place of a human guard and to call the spirit of the animal into the trap. Field collected, Sarawak, Borneo, 1994.
