We lived on Sunset through my junior and senior high school years, and I came home here for the summers during my first three years of college.
Family Trip to California 1957
When I was eight, our family drove Route 66 from Lancaster, Ohio, to Los Angeles to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We spent $10 a night on cheap motels, ate breakfast at local campgrounds and stopped at national parks along the way. In LA we visited Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland.

I attended East School from first grade until the middle of sixth grade, when we moved to Lodi.
