Rio de Janeiro 2023
In January 2023 we went to Rio with Tom and Tim. We spent a week at the Copacabana Palace hotel and then went to Búzios, a beach town. Tim, Tom and I hang-glided over the city down to the beach. We spent a morning at Sítio Roberto Burle Marx, the landscape architect’s gardens.
Chile 2019

Workout with Lance
In September 2018 I began intensive hour-long workouts with Lance Bacchus at our co-op’s gym. In March 2020 we paused the workouts for the pandemic.
Iceland 2018
Judith and I took an 11-day trip to Iceland. We flew into Reykjavík, rented a four-wheel-drive SUV and drove around the north and the Westfjords.
Japan 2017

Georgia and Armenia 2016
We took a 17-day trip to Georgia and Armenia with three days in Paris at the end. We started in Tbilisi. There we ate a lot of Georgian food, drank Georgian wine and attended the puppet theater. Germany 2016
For David’s 79th birthday we visited him in Wuppertal. We also visited Düsseldorf and Cologne. The party was hosted by Claudia and Frank at their place and included the French gang.
Jordan, Palestine, and Israel 2016
Before returning to France we stopped in Amman, Jordan, and took a series of day trips to Petra, Jerash, Madaba, and Jerusalem.
India 2016
We started in Delhi for two days, took a luxury train trip through Rajasthan and ended with three days in Mumbai at the Taj. With Coral Expeditions we took a small-ship cruise to northern Papua New Guinea and the Trobriand Islands. With us on the cruise were Julie and Grahame as well as Diane. New Zealand and Australia 2016
The first stop on our around-the-world trip was Auckland, New Zealand. The high point of the visit was to sail an America’s Cup style boat around the bay. After a cruise to Northern PNG we went to Brisbane to visit Meryl and Régis.
