Patty

Mexico 1977
Patty, Carolyn and I went to Mexico City and Cancún. Carolyn was a great hit in Cancún, with a band serenading her under our window and all the young men making much of her.
Chevy Vega 1975
Patty and I bought a used Chevy Vega. I had the engine rebuilt and reinstalled by Paul Froboise, who botched the job. (The dates are uncertain.)
Kidney Stones
Around 1976 I began to have kidney stones. Each one meant an overnight stay in the emergency room. For the next few years I had one or two a year. By 1984 they became less frequent. My last large one was in Japan in 2006.
1972 Mazda RX2
Around 1974 Patty and I bought a 1972 Mazda RX2 from a couple in Pacifica. The car kept blowing out its electronic control boxes.
1965 Chevy Impala 396
In 1973 Patty and I bought a 1965 Chevy Impala with a big 396 engine from an older man in Oakland.
