Following political fights with the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), QPC lost most of its business. The company was reduced to Gail and me. We went after fraud control business in the auto insurance market. In this we teamed with Coopers & Lybrand. We had to give up most of our office space and moved to the Lake Merritt district to share space first with an accounting firm, then with the Machinists union.
