While our NYC apartment was being remodeled we took a ten-day trip to Panama.  We went to the old town of Panama City (Casco Viejo), Bocas del Toro, the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve and Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge.

Alaska Fly Fishing 2017

In September I went fly fishing at Rapids Creek Lodge near King Salmon, Alaska, with Dave Minning and Bob Lynch.  Each day we would fly out to a new stream to fish.  In the week we caught rainbow trout (22 inches), many sockeye salmon (up to 20 lbs), silver salmon, char (24 inches) and grayling.

Edinburgh 2017

North Coast Trip 2016

Judith and I took a road trip up the California and Oregon north coast.  We visited the redwoods and stayed at the Scotia Inn, the Requa Inn and the Tu Tu’ Tun Lodge.  

Home to San Francisco 2016

We returned from Mane to San Francisco via New York; Washington, Connecticut; and Windsor, Ontario. In New York we saw Hamilton and The Humans. In Washington we stayed with Tom and Tim at Linda’s house. In Windsor we attended Daniel Cohen’s wedding.  

Piedmont Italy 2016

We took a summer driving trip to Piedmont to avoid the Mane fête. We went over the Alps to Saint-Véran, the highest village in France, then spent two days in Turin and finally two wine days in La Morra. We filled the back of the Subaru with Barolo and Barbaresco.  

Georgia and Armenia 2016

For David’s 79th birthday we visited him in Wuppertal.  We also visited Düsseldorf and Cologne. The party was hosted by Claudia and Frank at their place and included the French gang.
