Around the World Trip 1987
In 1987 Patty, Carolyn, and I flew around the world. We visited Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi, Cairo, Paris and London.

Carolyn Sports
In Washington, I would take Carolyn to sports events on weekends while Patty slept in. She did gymnastics and field hockey. When we moved to Oakland she took up swimming.
Mexico 1977
Patty, Carolyn and I went to Mexico City and Cancún. Carolyn was a great hit in Cancún, with a band serenading her under our window and all the young men making much of her.
Europe 1976
When Carolyn was two, Patty and I took our second trip to Europe. In Paris we leased a Simca and in London a small Ford. We spent substantial time in Spain. Carolyn Born
Carolyn was born at Lake Merritt Hospital in Oakland. It was a hard birth, ending in a Caesarean section after a long labor.
