On November 13, 2023 I began to take Ozempic for weight loss. At the time I weighed 204 pounds. For the first four weeks I took a .25 mg weekly dose. Then for two weeks I took a .5 mg dose. At the beginning of 2024 I went to a 1 mg dose. Early on I had a reduced desire for alcohol, My overall appetite was reduced, particularly for dinner. I had side effect of stomach acid for several weeks and then constipation for about three weeks. By May my weight was down to 188 pounds. At that point weight loss stopped. At first I had greatly reduced energy so I forced myself to be more active. My energy largely returned. I started an informal diet of smaller breakfasts and fewer sweets. As of June 24 I my weight was 186. By September my weight stabilized at 182.
