Stroke

During a flight from Barcelona to San Francisco, while over Kansas I had a stroke.  The plane landed in Denver and I was rushed to University Hospital.  The doctor found:

CAT scan: Some disease of carotid arteries.

MRI:  3 or 4 strokes on upper left side and one small stroke on right side.

Echocardiogram and bubble scan of heart;  PFO hole found.

TEE ultrasound of heart:  Cardiologist indicated that PFO was “high risk.” PFO is particularly large and there is blood movement between chambers with coughing.

Ultrasound scans of legs and arms;  no blood clots found.

After three days I was released and flew to San Francisco
