In June 1973 I was award a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with honors in Sociology and Speech. My senior thesis was titled “Newton’s Sleep.”

Came to Berkeley in 1972 after a year in Oregon. Patty and I were living together. Completed my second senior year writing my honors thesis “Newton’s Sleep.” Stayed at Berkeley through my masters and PhD then took positions teaching and doing research. Moved to Washington in 1980.

Patty and I moved back from Oregon to the Bay Area in 1972 we first lived with Sue Melrose in East Palo Alto then moved to Menlo Park. We road Patty’s tandem bike.
